An estimate from the numbers you type. Nothing is uploaded or saved: the numbers stay in this browser tab.

This free Meesho profit calculator shows the profit you can expect on each dispatched order once customer returns and RTO are counted. Enter the settlement amount you receive for a delivered order, your product, packaging and ads costs, and your return and RTO rates. The result is an estimate; your real numbers are in your Meesho payment files.

This is an estimate, not your payment statement

The calculator knows only what you type. Meesho’s charges change and differ by category, so no commission, shipping or return charge is built in. Take every amount from your own payment files.

For your real numbers from your reports, use the free Meesho seller dashboard. It reads the order, payment and returns reports you upload and shows orders, payments, returns and profit for each SKU.

What to enter in each box

Enter eight numbers for one product. A box left empty counts as 0.

BoxWhat to enter
Settlement price (₹)The amount Meesho pays you for one delivered order, from your payment file. It is not the listing price the customer sees.
Product cost (₹)What it costs you to make or buy one unit.
Packaging cost (₹)Bag or box, tape and label for one order. It is spent on every order you dispatch, delivered or not.
Ads cost per order (₹)Your ads spend for a period divided by all the orders you dispatched in that period. Enter 0 if you do not run ads.
Customer returns (%)Out of 100 dispatched orders, how many the customer received and sent back.
RTO (%)Out of 100 dispatched orders, how many came back without being delivered.
Loss per return (₹)What one customer return costs you besides packaging: the return charge shown in your payment file plus an allowance for damage, as one amount.
Loss per RTO (₹)What one RTO costs you besides packaging. It starts at 0. Check your own payment file and enter what you find.

How this is calculated

The calculator works on 100 dispatched orders and then divides by 100 to get the figure for one order.

  1. Delivered orders = 100 − customer returns − RTO. Only delivered orders are paid.
  2. Money received = delivered orders × settlement price.
  3. Product cost = delivered orders × product cost, when returned products can be sold again. If you untick that box, it is 100 × product cost.
  4. Packaging and ads = 100 × packaging cost + 100 × ads cost per order, because both are spent on every dispatched order.
  5. Return losses = customer returns × loss per return + RTO × loss per RTO.
  6. Profit per 100 orders = money received − product cost − packaging and ads − return losses.
  7. Profit per dispatched order = profit per 100 orders ÷ 100.
  8. Margin % = profit per 100 orders ÷ money received × 100.
  9. Break-even return + RTO rate = the combined rate at which the profit is exactly zero, keeping returns and RTO in the same proportion you entered (half and half if you entered neither).

What the calculator assumes

  • The settlement price you enter is already after Meesho’s deductions on a delivered order.
  • A returned or RTO order brings no payment.
  • With the box ticked, a returned or RTO product comes back and is sold again, so its product cost is not lost; only its packaging and the loss you entered are. With the box unticked, the product cost of every returned and RTO unit is lost.
  • Returns and RTO together cannot be more than 100%. If they are, RTO is reduced to fit.
  • GST, income tax, rent, salaries and other overheads are not included.

Worked example (made-up numbers)

These numbers are invented to show the steps. They are not Meesho’s charges and not anyone’s real results. Press “Try the example” in the calculator to load them.

Settlement price ₹300, product cost ₹150, packaging ₹10, ads ₹10 per order, customer returns 10%, RTO 10%, loss per return ₹100, loss per RTO ₹0, returned products sold again.

StepWorkingAmount
Delivered orders100 − 10 − 1080
Money received80 × ₹300₹24,000
Product cost80 × ₹150− ₹12,000
Packaging100 × ₹10− ₹1,000
Ads100 × ₹10− ₹1,000
Return losses10 × ₹100 + 10 × ₹0− ₹1,000
Profit per 100 orders₹9,000
Profit per dispatched order₹9,000 ÷ 100₹90
Margin₹9,000 ÷ ₹24,00037.5%
Break-even return + RTO rateRate at which profit is zero65%

If the returned products could not be sold again, the product cost would be 100 × ₹150 = ₹15,000, the profit would fall to ₹60 per order and the break-even rate to 37.1%.

Meesho profit calculator FAQs

Do I need an account to use the Meesho profit calculator?

No. The calculator is free and works without a login. The numbers you type stay in your browser tab; they are not uploaded and not saved, so they are gone when you close or reload the page.

Which price should I enter in the calculator?

Enter the settlement amount Meesho pays you for one delivered order, which you can read in your payment file. Do not enter the listing price, because marketplace deductions are taken before you are paid.

What is a break-even return rate?

It is the share of dispatched orders that can come back, as customer returns and RTO together, before your profit falls to zero. If your real rate is above it, the product loses money at the current price and costs.

Why does the calculator not fill in Meesho commission or return charges for me?

Because Meesho’s charges change and differ by category, any fixed figure would be wrong for many sellers. You type the amounts found in your own payment file, so the result matches your product.

What should I enter as the loss per return?

Add up what one customer return costs you besides packaging: the return charge shown in your payment file and an average amount for products that come back damaged. Enter the total as one number in rupees.

How is the calculator different from the Meesho seller dashboard?

The calculator estimates one product from numbers you type, which is useful before you set a price. The Seller Help dashboard reads the reports you upload and shows what really happened, SKU by SKU. The dashboard needs a free account.
