How to Print Meesho, Flipkart and Amazon Labels on A4 Paper

5 min read · Updated

You can print Meesho, Flipkart and Amazon shipping labels on an ordinary A4 printer in two ways: one cropped label on each A4 sheet, or four labels on a sheet with the "A4, 4 labels per sheet" option. Crop the label PDF first, print at 100% scale, cut along the guides and scan one barcode before printing a batch.

Can you print marketplace labels on an A4 printer

Yes. Any laser or inkjet printer that takes A4 paper can print Meesho, Flipkart and Amazon shipping labels, and a thermal printer is not required. All three marketplaces give the label PDF as A4 pages with a tax invoice on the same page or on the next one, so the file is cropped first and then laid out on A4 again.

The free label crop tool for all marketplaces does both jobs in your browser. There is a page for each marketplace as well: the Meesho label crop tool, the Flipkart label crop tool and the Amazon label crop tool.

Two ways to print labels on A4

There are two ways to use A4 paper: one label on each sheet, or four labels on each sheet. Both start from the cropped label, without the invoice.

When one label per A4 sheet makes sense

One label per sheet makes sense when you want the largest print, or when the invoice has to be printed too.

  • You ship only a few orders a day, so paper use does not matter much.
  • You want the label and the tax invoice on one page: choose "Keep invoice (label + invoice together)", which prints each full page on A4.
  • Small barcodes come out weak on your printer. A larger label is easier to scan.

When 4 labels per sheet makes sense

Four labels per sheet makes sense when you print labels only and want to use a quarter of the paper. The labels are placed in the sort order you chose, so a batch sorted by SKU still comes off the cutter product by product.

  • One sheet per order feels wasteful, but you are not ready to buy a thermal printer.
  • You do not need the invoice on paper. This option is not available together with "Keep invoice".
  • Your printer prints sharp, dark bars at a small size. Check that with one sheet first.

How to print 4 labels on one A4 sheet

Printing four labels on a sheet takes six steps.

  1. Download the label PDF from your seller panel and keep it as downloaded.
  2. Open the label crop tool for your marketplace and upload the PDF.
  3. Keep "Crop labels (remove invoice section)" selected, and sort by SKU or Courier Partner.
  4. Choose "A4, 4 labels per sheet".
  5. Click Generate Sorted PDF and open the downloaded file.
  6. Print one sheet and check the barcode scans before printing a batch.

Plain paper or A4 sticker sheets

Both work, and the choice is only about how the label is fixed to the parcel.

  • Plain paper: cut the labels apart and tape them on, or put them in a clear pouch. Keep shiny tape off the barcode, because glare can stop a scanner reading it.
  • Full-sheet A4 sticker paper: the whole sheet is one sticker, so you cut along the dashed guides and peel each label. This is the simplest sticker option.
  • Pre-cut A4 label sheets: the factory cuts may not sit where the cut guides are. Print one sheet on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet to check before you use the stickers.

Printer scale settings for A4

Print at 100% scale, also called "Actual size", with A4 chosen as the paper size. Scaling changes the size of the barcode and moves the cut guides.

  • Paper size: A4, not Letter. Check it in the print dialog, which can quietly switch back.
  • Scale: 100%. Turn off "Fit to page" and "Shrink oversized pages".
  • Orientation: portrait.
  • From a browser: turn off headers and footers.
  • If an edge is cut off, see how to fix label printing that is cut off.

Cutting the labels and the scan test

Cut along the dashed guides, and scan one barcode before you print the rest. A paper cutter is faster and straighter than scissors.

  • Stack the cut labels in the order they were printed, so the sort order is kept at the packing table.
  • If the barcode does not scan, check the scale first, then the ink or toner. If small labels stay hard to read, print one label per sheet.

A4 printer or thermal printer

An A4 printer is enough to start, and a thermal printer saves time once you pack every day. The sizes are compared in label size and printer settings, and the two routes for Meesho are in how to print Meesho shipping labels. Whichever you use, the label crop tool makes the print-ready PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I print 4 shipping labels on one A4 sheet?

Yes. Choose "A4, 4 labels per sheet" in the label crop tool. The labels are placed in a 2×2 grid on A4 portrait with dashed cut guides, in the sort order you chose.

Can I print the invoice together with 4 labels per A4 sheet?

No. "A4, 4 labels per sheet" is not available together with "Keep invoice". To print the label with its invoice, choose "Keep invoice" and print one full page per order on A4.

Will a barcode scan when the label is a quarter of an A4 sheet?

It depends on your printer, so test it: print one sheet and check the barcode scans before printing a batch. If it does not scan well, print one label per sheet.

Do I need sticker paper to print shipping labels on A4?

No. Plain A4 paper works if you cut the labels and tape them on. Sticker paper only saves the taping.

What is the A4 size for Meesho, Flipkart and Amazon label printing?

A4 paper is 210 × 297 mm. On it you print either one cropped label per sheet, or four labels that each take about a quarter of the sheet.
